How do scrolls work in ddo

Think the only practical way to do this is by using the scroll from the quickbar rather than clicking on it in the paperdoll. Put scroll in quickbar, select target, click scroll quickslot to equip, click again to cast. This multistep process is one reason many people stop using scrolls after the first few they try, until they get high enough level to figure out which ones are really useful and buy whole stacks of them. If the character meets both the last two cases, the game makes only one check using the method most likely to succeed.
