How long after switching to 12 12

Make deals up front so you don't have to re-enact a scene from a Rick Ross record once harvest comes…. If you're involving anyone else in the growing process, determine the split when you plant the starter. We did not do this. Come harvest, we had some tense conversations about how to divvy up the proceeds, what with the entire project happening on Big Z's turf and, in fact, using the boss's power and water.

But, two teams came in on weekends to check on their plants, putting in a lot more work than they would have had they known they were just going to hand over the fruits of their labor.

Yup, it turned into some Breaking Bad shit. It's all cool now—none of us liked the strain much anyway. But if we'd ended up with a bumper crop of premium Blue Dream, yeah, someone might've shot Hank. If you're going to grow just one plant outside, get a little tent for it…. If you're growing outdoors in northern Oregon, don't try pushing into November…. In early October, with the Portland skies still sunny and our rooftop plant looking fat and happy, we made plans to chop it down.

It seemed like the smart play to us, and to Chris the office weed wiz who warned us that Willamette Valley grows are notorious for losing plants to rot just before harvest. Then we invited an expert over to show us how to trim it. This expert said the plant was nowhere near finishing, and to give it another three weeks. We gave it two, but by the time we cut it down, it had a bad case of bud rot.

The white widow is showing none at present. The two that are showing have showed from the side for about 2 days approx. Dont know why the WW isnt showing yet, guess it is just taking longer for the changeover. Hi Laurap , yea, I know how long the flower length is for these.

Looked at those guides I think daily for the last 20 days or so. I just needed to know what the plants looked linke in change over and then right after they started flowering. Basically a photo demo, ya know. Thanks though for the info. Getting ansy for this grow to finish.

Thanks, when in your grow did you take this photo? Cowboyjonjon Where in changeover or flowering? Problems with temperatures, humidity, pests, diseases, conditions, pH, or hydroponics nutrients during peak marijuana flowering phase sharply reduce your final output.

You also benefit from using carbohydrates products along with resin gland boosters such as Bud Factor X. Every cannabis strain is different sometimes every cannabis plant is different even if from the same mother or seeds , but adding the right amounts and ratios of phosphorus and potassium during peak bloom is guaranteed to increase bud size, THC, and value. For more information about monitoring marijuana for harvest timing, read this great article here. Peak bloom is usually the longest phase of your cycle, lasting weeks for most cannabis strains.

Late Flowering — When your resin glands and bud hairs are starting to deteriorate, but are not so deteriorated that your marijuana is wholly overripe, your plants are in late flowering phase. After Overdrive, stop using all nutrients and flush your plants just before harvest to get rid of pollutants and stored fertilizer salts.

I get it that realizing the cycle has four marijuana flowering phases instead of one long phase is more complex than the old-school idea. But just like we humans have distinct growth phases infant, toddler, child, adolescent, young adult, middle-aged adult, elderly adult, deceased , marijuana does too.

If done correctly, monster-cropped clones have the potential to create plants with higher yields the second time around because of an increased vegetative mass, stronger stems and branches, and more nodes for potential buds. If cloning a weed plant, growers usually need to take a clone of a plant before it begins flowering.

But if a grower neglects to for any reason, that phenotype, or the genes of that specific plant, will get lost. Re-vegging is the only way to preserve an exact replica of a particular phenotype once it has transitioned into the flowering state. Re-vegging is hard to successfully pull off, even for seasoned growers. It takes a few weeks for new growth to appear so you might be wasting time and space waiting for new growth only for it to not happen. Most growers who re-veg say that yields decrease the second time around.

So while re-vegging may cut down on the amount of time it takes to grow a plant, it might not produce as much.

The re-vegging process is highly stressful on a plant and even if it does re-veg successfully, aberrations often occur, such as unusual leaf growth and hermaphroditism.
