The EPA had reached an agreement with those companies to ban most uses of their herbicide by the end of last year. The delay by Congress caused the EPA to suspend its ban. The weed killer, called MSMA, remains on the market.

These arsenicals are good on grassy weeds and smutgrass. They can be tank- mixed with metribuzin or 2,4-D if broader control is necessary.

To improve control and minimize Bermuda discoloration, repeat applications at the lowest recommended rate are necessary. Monosodium methyl arsenate MSMA is an arsenic-based herbicide. Augustine grass is labeled as a tolerant to both of these products though, as well as Emeral Zoysia.

Your best option though, will be to spot treat with Roundup. MSMA was once a widely used herbicide effective in eliminating a wide range of weeds but it has since been labeled as a restricted-use product that licensed applicators can use for certain sites like golf courses and sod farms.

First dose killed off about half of the patches of Dallisgrass after about a week. Wash your hands before eating, bathroom and smoking while you are spraying. It is as simple as that. The most dangerous part of spraying is filling the tank and handling chemicals in concentrated form. To early to tell but I have a real problem with dallisgrass. So far, the bermuda is starting to brown out I sprayed about 5 days ago but the dallisgrass still looks healthy. I don't if this is to be expected or not.

Target 6 is the ONLY lawn weed killer I've found that will kill all the weeds in the lawn, including spurge.

I've tried many products for killing the weeds in my lawn. Some worked OK, but none would kill spurge even though the labels says it will. I use Target 6 exclusively now for eliminating ALL the weeds in my lawn. Some have asked if you can use it in flower beds and vegetable gardens. I wouldn't try it.

It formulated for lawns. If you can spray it on the weeds without getting any on your flowers or vegetables, it would work very well. But, just like round up, you're taking a chance. In the cool part of the Spring, I had to mix it very strong to see results, but when it warms up, you have to be careful or you can burn your turf grass.

This stuff is the real deal, so you need to be careful and follow instructions on how to use it. There are a few small patches that are growing flat so I only see them when I mow.
